” Navratri”, is an energizing festival, that leaves one with a lightning love for existence, and in gratitude.
Different aspects of the Goddess Durga are worshipped on these nine days, which bring forth the many facets of ones goodness within oneself.
There is a lot of singing, celebration, fasting, listening to the sacred stories of the Divine Mother, and much more. Celebrate the cosmic Shakti with Mahamaya at the Haidakhand Ashram, abode to the Eternal Shiva Shri Haidakhan Baba, a mystic who appeared in this valley from 1970-1984. Babaji highly recommended the use of singing, hard work and the chanting of the mantra as a means to purify the mind and take it to the Divine. Haidakhan Ashram is in a beautiful location in the Nainital District, with the ashram spread on both sides of the Gautami Ganga river. A great opportunity for those who love colour, life, and the beauty of togetherness.
You will be guided into the ashram and its practises by Rahul, the Founder of Mahamaya. Its been kept at a very affordable cost so more people can experience the Bliss and Being of Babaji, and their own in the process. Some of the proceeds from the tour fee will go in feeding stray cattle, dogs and other animals. If its possible for you, you can pay a little extra, depending upon you.
How do we get there?
Meet us at Haldwani at Cafe Pots and Stones around 1:30 pm before we make our way up to Haidakhan on the 22nd of March, 2023. You could take the Early Morning Shatabdi from Delhi that leaves at 6 am and arrives at Haldwani at 11:40 am, or come the previous evening via the 4pm Shatabdi, which arrives at Haldwani at 10pm. There are decent hotels closeby at dfferent budgets for the night.
